So that you are well informed before your holiday starts, we have tried to answer the most frequently asked questions that are put to us.

Check-In & Check-Out

Your booked room will be ready for occupancy from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival. You are welcome to arrive earlier, leave your suitcases with us and use the wellness area free of charge. The catering service begins with dinner on the day of arrival.

Your room will be available to you until 10:30 a.m. on the day of departure. We then prepare this for the arrival of the new guests. In the event of a late departure, we reserve the right to charge the full room price for an additional night.

Early check-in or late check-out is possible upon request and for a fee.

Are bathrobes and slippers included?

When you arrive, a packed bathing bag with a bathrobe and sauna towels will be waiting in your room. Children's bathrobes in different sizes are available at reception.

Sustainability is important to us, which is why we ask you to bring your own slippers - out of love for nature!

Are dogs allowed in the hotel?

Your dog is very welcome with us. We charge EUR 25 per night. Please note that animals are not allowed in the restaurant or in the wellness area.

Is there a doctor on Katschberg?

The doctor’s surgery Katschberg specializes in trauma surgery (Prim. Dr. Werner Betzler) and general medicine (Dr. Sabine Neumayer). It is located directly in the hotel building and is equipped with technical devices such as MRI scan, X-ray, laboratory, etc., and can therefore offer rapid, extensive diagnostics on site without long waiting times. MRI examinations are possible immediately on the day of the accident. Apart from sports injuries, the ordination is also available for medical problems of other kinds. 

Opening hours:

  • Winter (December to April): Mon - Sun from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Summer (July to September): Mon - Fri from 9 a.m. to noon.
Where can I park the car?

Park your car for free in the parking spaces around the hotel (limited number, no reservation possible) or for a fee in our parking garage. For the use of the underground car park we charge EUR 11 per day during the summer months and EUR 14 per day during the winter months. The fee for the parking deck is EUR 8 per day in winter and free in summer.

Is it allowed to smoke in the hotel?

Smoking is not permitted in the hotel's rooms (rooms, hotel bar, and restaurant). Ashtrays are available on the room balconies and on the terrace near the bar and reception area.

Do I need snow chains to come up on Katschberg?

For a safe arrival and departure in the months of November to April, we recommend that you bring snow chains with you, as snow chains are required on the Katschbergstrasse (B99) from Rennweg or St. Michael in the case of heavy snowfall or slippery roads.

What are the costs of a cancellation?

Our cancellation conditions:

The cancellation conditions apply according to the Austrian hotel and contract conditions:

  • Free cancellation possible up to 28 days before arrival.
  • If you cancel within 28 days before arrival, we charge 70% of the total room price.
  • For cancellations on the day of arrival, no show or early departure we charge 100%.

If the hotel is closed by the authorities, there are no claims for compensation for hotel guests. Deposits paid will be refunded.

Travel cancellation insurance:

With travel cancellation insurance you are on the safe side. Here you can take out insurance quickly and directly online.

Is there WiFi in the hotel?

You have WiFi reception in the entire hotel, this service can be used free of charge at any time after prior confirmation of the terms of use.

How is sustainability implemented in the hotel?
  • Sustainability is very important to us, which is why we offer you milk and meat products from local farmers in addition to climate- and environmentally friendly purely plant-based delicacies.
  • The table and mineral water flows directly from the Katschberg spring into your glass.
  • Bees are hard-working helpers who provide honey on the mountain and our herbal experts transform the herbs into regional specialties.
  • Our hotel is supplied with 100% green electricity from hydropower and heat from the biomass district heating system on Katschberg.
  • In our Katschberg suites we have a CO2-neutral minibar and thus contribute to a better environment.
  • All windows are double-glazed and our green flat roofs cool the building, protect biodiversity and store CO2 for several hundred years using the e4f climate earth used!
  • We do not have cosmetic miniatures in the rooms and instead use our regional organic care from MARIAS from Salzburg in refillable dispensers.
