Entry tests & safe arrival and departure with the 2G rule:

The following evidence of access may be used: Vaccinated:

Vaccinated: Confirmation of the vaccination status by means of a paper vaccination certificate or vaccination card or digital proof (app)
- You can check the duration of the validity of your vaccination with the validity calculator.
Recovery: a separation notice, medical confirmation or recovery certificate
- Valid for up to 180 days after the illness
Children up to the age of 12 do not need proof.
Children between 13 and 15 years from Austria need the ninja pass as proof (valid Sun - Mon) outside the ninja pass times, 2.5 G applies - vaccinated, recovered or PCR-tested.
For children between the ages of 13 and 15 from abroad, 2.5 G applies - vaccinated, recovered or PCR-tested.
Guests from abroad do not have to be in quarantine when they return. If you test positive in Austria, you can quarantine at home.
Fast check-in when reporting the guest data (name, address, date of birth) in advance. Bank transfer in advance or cashless payment is recommended.

General rules of conduct in hotel Das KATSCHBERG:

Refrain from shaking hands and hugs.
Wash and disinfect hands with soap several times a day. Dispensers with disinfectant are posted at short intervals in all areas of the hotel.
Sneeze or cough into the crook of your arm or into a handkerchief.
Follow the instructions of the employees.
Do not travel if you feel sick.

Guidelines in the restaurant:

Please disinfect your hands before self-service at the buffet.
Disposable gloves for the buffet are provided.
We ask you to keep your distance.

Guidelines in Wellness and SPA area:

The wellness area with indoor pool, different saunas and relaxation rooms is open.
Use of the sauna is recommended only by people living in the same household.
Sauna infusions by our sauna master do not take place.
Massage and beauty treatments take place in compliance with special safety and hygiene measures.

Summer program for your holiday on Katschberg

The Katschberg is not only ideal for hiking, e biking and cycling but offers a variety of other mountain activities. Your summer holiday on the Katschberg is practically car-free, as nearly all activities and programmes start just a few steps away from the hotel:

High Ropes Course – Adventure park Katschberg

With 200 stations, the Adventure Park is Austria's most extensive high ropes course in the forest. Different levels of difficulty ensure that both young and older can meet the right challenge. The Flying Fox Park, where you float on rope slides through the lofty heights, is very popular.

Mountain railways Katschberg

Those who want to have a more relaxed summer vacation can take advantage of the summer offers on the mountain railways. The chairlift on the Aineck brings you comfortably up to 2,200 meters. From there it is worth visiting the alpine hut and enjoying the magnificent view.

Golf in St. Michael und Millstatt

A special kind of golf experience in Salzburg's Lungau region and in Millstatt. Embedded in a fantastic landscape, you will find two beautiful, well maintained 18-hole course. Generous practice facilities and the charming Open9 course create space for beginners as well as advanced players. Experience the Austrian Alps, get close to the mountains while playing golf.

Cycling holiday on Katschberg

Rent one of the e bikes at the hotel and explore the region's bike tours. We have signposted easy or challenging bike trails for electric bikes or mountain bikes. There are 500 kilometres of cycle paths in the Lungau holiday region alone.

Cheese class at Almwirtshaus Ainkehr

In the weekly cheese class, all participants learn the art of cheese easily: with a few litres of pasture milk, the right recipe and carefully selected ingredients, nothing stands in the way of the tasty experience. You can take the self-made cream cheese home with you. Besides, the cheese course includes a fruity aperitif, a delicious cheese snack and the obligatory "Schnaps" in between, a small cheese quiz and a cheese diploma for the successful participants (prices on request).

Brewery tour

The brewery in Stamperl has been brewing its own beer - the Katschbeer - since December 2015. With a new, patented brewing process, approx. One thousand litres of beer can be produced per day. The production is based on the highest state of the art. The brewery is open to visitors at any time during guided tours (from € 9.90 per person) to follow this exciting process and of course to taste the Katschbeer.

Summer toboggan run on Katschberg

Katschi's gold ride is an adventure toboggan run that offers lots of fun, action and adventure in the great outdoors for the whole family. The topic of gold mining is explained to the children in this park. The journey leads through the gold digger's house, along a winding forest path through the dark tunnels to the glittering interior of the mountain and the gold panning place. At the end of the ride, a sheltered and sunny slope with lovely benches on high plateau invites you to relax!
